還記得「地城守護者」嗎？由創意十足的牛蛙公司所推出的地城設計遊戲，玩家扮演魔王的角色，設計各種陷阱以及通道來坑殺「勇者」們，鞭打小鬼屁股的功能是當年的滑鼠殺手。多年之後，EA 決定將之重製放到行動裝置上，目前 Android 版本已經推出，目前開放給加拿大以及澳洲、新加坡下載，但還在 Beta 狀態。

牛蛙公司，這個讓人懷念又惋惜的名字，許多創意大作都出自他們之手，像是「主題公園」、「上帝也瘋狂」、「極道梟雄」，以及已經移植重製到 Android 上的「地城守護者」。

地城守護者的概念即使在今日看來也非常的有趣、創意十足，你扮演的角色不再是傳統的英雄或是勇者，而是魔王：手下還有一堆小鬼聽你使喚，而遊戲的玩法類似於近年流行的「塔防」遊戲，你要一邊挖金礦，一邊設上陷阱去引誘勇者們進入你的地城，然後一一的解決他們。在一代的時候，用滑鼠點小鬼可以打小鬼屁股讓它動作快一些，跟暗黑破壞神2 並列為當年的滑鼠殺手。

這次 EA 重製的「地城守護者」變成了免費遊玩的商城機制，可以預見有許多 iap（遊戲內購買）可以選擇，而畫質受惠於現代科技，看似比當年（一代於 1997 年發售）好得多了，但是轉變為免費商城制不免令人擔心對於遊戲內容的影響。

目前地城守護者已經在加拿大以及澳洲開放下載，亞洲區目前僅開放新加坡，但還處於 Beta 測試中，應該很快台灣也就能玩得到了。
