【突發中心／台北報導】淡水漁人碼頭的知名景點情人塔，昨天晚上8時許發生跳電，導致有8名遊客受困在60公尺高的塔上動彈不得。

廠商雖立即出動搶修，但到今天凌晨2時許仍無法恢復運作，受困時間已長達6小時，目前受困遊客的食物及水的供應都成問題，只好向淡水消防分隊求援。新北市消防局勤務指揮中心接獲報案後，已調派人員及各式車輛前往救援。

拜讀貴版〈婚姻路的兩顆心〉一文後，心有同感。想想我與外子結婚也十三個年頭了，當初舉辦婚禮前，聽到太多新人為了婚禮而鬧得不愉快，甚至翻臉的事，所以我與一般新嫁娘不大一樣，對於婚禮無所要求。我覺得婚禮是為了雙方父母而辦的，因為老一輩的為了面子，都希望在親友面前把子女的婚宴辦得體面，所以繁文縟節也一大堆。

當時，我這個新娘子除了婚紗公司是自己找的外，其他完全聽從母親、未來公婆的吩咐，要行什麼禮、送什麼回禮，都依著他們。要不是為了這些長輩的面子，我壓根兒也不認為結婚一定要這麼慎重其事，我覺得小兩口恩愛一輩子才重要，尤其是看到一些名人花了幾千萬辦婚禮，卻以分手收場。

十三年來，我和外子有甜蜜也有風風雨雨。現在兩人生活重心都在小孩身上，一起討論小孩的教養、交往的朋友。

多年前的那場婚禮在長輩的勞累中，我輕鬆地度過；爾後的婚姻生活，我辛苦經營了十三年，但為了這份甜蜜的負擔，我心甘情願地繼續走下去！

白宮發言人卡尼（Jay Carney）今天表示，參議院在結束財政僵局的談判正取得進展，但是「我們此刻距離達成協議仍很遙遠」。

隨著調高舉債上限的最後期限即將在17日來臨，白宮希望參院提供化解危機的途徑。

白宮稍早發布聲明說，美國總統歐巴馬今天下午3時15分（台灣時間16日凌晨3時15分）將在橢圓形辦公室會見國會眾議院民主黨領袖裴洛西（Nancy Pelosi），以及眾院其他民主黨領袖。

美國國會正力圖達成協議，在17日的期限前提高舉債上限。

白宮已拒絕眾院共和黨今晨提出的新方案，稱其中提出的要求有如「勒贖」，並表示較支持參院民主與共和兩黨議員協商中的法案。

白宮發言人布倫達治（Amy Brundage）表示，這項方案「出於黨派之私，只圖討好共和黨內一小撮茶黨成員，就是他們造成政府停擺」。

法新社報導，蘋果公司（Apple）今天發出邀請函，22日將辦特別活動，預料將發表全新五代iPad與二代迷你iPad（iPad mini），不過邀請函透露的訊息不多。

這份由電子郵件寄出的邀請函，除了時間和地點外，沒有透露多少細節，信函上寫著「我們要涵蓋更多東西（We have a lot more to cover）」。

邀請函上，iPad形狀的彩色圖案上，顯示傾瀉的彩色葉子下，有蘋果標誌的頂端部分。

科技新聞網站「數位包打聽」（AllThingsD）8日引述未具名消息人士的話報導，蘋果公司（Apple）打算在本月22日的活動中，發表最新款的iPad和迷你iPad。

根據報導，新iPad機身較薄，相機性能大幅提升，而迷你iPad升級版網膜顯示解析度提升。

根據調查，iPad仍然是最暢銷的平板電腦，不過其市場佔有率正被使用Google Android作業系統的對手侵蝕。

蘋果預料將在這項僅受邀者參與的活動中，討論其電腦作業系統和筆記型電腦產品。這項活動舉行的時間恰值年終假期購買季開始。

蘋果上月推出的兩款iPhone雖然不被看好，銷售卻非常成功，推出3天內賣出破紀錄的900萬支。

科技網站「蘋果內幕」（AppleInsider）報導，凱基證券分析師郭明錤指出，蘋果賣出的900萬支iPhone中，他估計高階的iPhone 5s銷量介於350萬至450萬支。那代表機殼由聚碳酸酯做成的iPhone 5c售出450萬至550萬支之間。

蘋果新品發表向來是科技界盛事，無疑將吸引眾人眼光。不過，無獨有偶的，蘋果本次新品發表會與微軟最新平板電腦Surface 2開賣，以及諾基亞的新品發表會「撞期」。

據科技網站「蘋果內幕」（Appleinsider）報導，微軟（Microsoft ）上月宣布Surface 2將於22日開賣，結果蘋果（Apple ）也打算在同一天發表全新次世代平板電腦。根據以往的經驗，蘋果新平板的上市日期將訂在11月1日。

另外，值得一提的是，諾基亞（Nokia OYJ）也將在22日於杜拜舉行一場發表會，推出自家品牌的平板電腦。

相較iPad目前稱霸平板市場，微軟與諾基亞還在戮力於平板市場取得一席之地，蘋果、微軟與諾基亞搶在同一天舉行活動，蘋果勢將大搶風頭。

這不是蘋果第一次與其競爭對手「撞期」了。今年9月10日的iPhone 5s和iPhone 5c發表會，適逢德國柏林消費電子展（IFA），許多廠商在IFA爭相發表新品，包括三星電子公司（Samsung Electronics Co.）的Galaxy Note 3與Galaxy Gear智慧錶，但最後風頭都被蘋果新機搶走了。

去年微軟第一代Surface與Windows 8桌面作業系統是在10月26日開賣，而在這之前的24日，蘋果發表了iPad mini和iPad 4。

過去兩年來，蘋果已逐漸形成了9月發表新iPhone、10月發佈新iPad的模式。蘋果通常選在週二舉行新品發表會，並在隔週的週五開賣新品。
