美國前任官員路易斯今天在國會作證表示，史諾登洩密事件並未影響美國與中國大陸雙邊對話，中方並未在他身上得到多少訊息。

國務院和商務部前任官員、現任華府智庫戰略暨國際研究中心網路安全專家路易斯（James Lewis），在聯邦眾議院外交委員會亞太小組舉行的亞洲網路安全聽證會指出，史諾登（Edward Snowden）事件並未影響美中雙邊對談。

路易斯表示，美國已告知中方，政府間的間諜行動，各國互有往來，所有重要國家都有相關動作，但美國反對官方進行商業間諜活動。某位中方官員很驚訝，並未在史諾登身上得到太多訊息。

他說，幾乎所有國家都有類似間諜行動，歐洲國家有些強烈反應，但事件至今未造成多大影響。

路易斯回答眾議員提問指出，中方其實畏懼美方的網路間諜計畫，加上使用過多盜版軟體，中國的網路防衛實際上不強，美方無需將中國描述為怪物，但他們絕不是無辜的。

他認為，俄羅斯也進行大量網路攻擊，但媒體似乎只見到中國大陸遭責難，而不是俄羅斯，這是因為俄羅斯網路間諜的技術較高明，沒有被逮到。
