【王翊亘／綜合報導】原本2比7落後的洋基，靠著7局下狂攻6分逆轉，沒想到守護神李維拉(Mariano Rivera)9局上救援砸鍋，被紅襪內野手朱魯(Stephen Drew)擊出追平安打；10局上，1出局二壘有人，維克多里諾(Shane Victorino)疑似揮棒過半，一壘審威斯特(Joe West)卻雙手一攤，裁定無出棒，維克多里諾隨即補上一支右外野超前分安打，幫助紅襪贏得勝利。
 
其實洋基並非沒有贏球機會，9局下，1出局時，一壘上的跑者索瑞安諾(Alfonso Soriano)順利盜上二壘，使洋基有靠再見安打贏球的機會，然而索瑞安諾卻不安份的想再盜三壘，卻被投手牽制出局。
