Sony推新版PS Vita！六種顏色、LCD螢幕，10月開賣

The Verge、Engadget.com等多家外電報導，Sony Corp. 9日在日本舉辦的記者會宣佈推出新一代掌上型遊樂器「PlayStation Vita 」，不但厚度較舊款薄20%、重量輕15%，內建的電池還擁有6個小時的續航力，較舊款多一個小時。Sony指出，新版Vita擁有六種顏色(白、黑、灰、藍、黃、粉)可供顧客選擇，預計10月10日於日本首賣。Sony並未公佈其他國家的開賣日期。

根據報導，新版Vita(僅支援WiFi)售價為18,980日圓(約190美元)，新增了1GB的內建儲存容量，同時具備記憶卡插槽，螢幕技術則由舊版的OLED轉換成5吋液晶面板。除此之外，Sony也將4GB-32GB的記憶卡降價至1,554-6,804日圓，而最新推出的64GB Vita記憶卡定價則為10,479日圓(約105美元)。

Sony甫於8月20日宣佈將舊版Vita美國定價由249美元減為199美元，歐洲定價也同步下調。日本遊戲產業市調機構Media Create 9月6日公布的統計數據顯示，8月26日-9月1日期間舊版PS Vita掌上型遊樂器日本銷售量較前一週大減27%至8,405台，已連續第2週減少。
