聯賽歷史上兩隊共交鋒138次，總成績巴薩73勝30平35負佔據優勢，其中在諾坎普球場52勝11平6負占絕對優勢。最近9次聯賽主場交鋒，巴薩8勝1平。第36分鐘，阿爾維斯（Dani Alves）頭球破門。第75分鐘，內瑪爾（Neymar）傳中助攻，梅西（Lionel Messi）推射進球。第80分鐘，拉基蒂奇（Ivan Rakitic）為塞維利亞扳回一球。第90分鐘，科克（Coke）為扳平比分。第93分鐘，梅西突破製造桑切斯（Alexis Sanchez）絕殺。巴薩主場3：2驚險戰勝塞維利亞。

梅西前3場聯賽已進6球，追平上賽季創下的生涯最佳聯賽開季紀錄。雖然未能打進皇馬的首球，內瑪爾這場送出3次關鍵球。

包括上賽季在內，巴薩主場聯賽已連勝17場，這已經是1974年紅藍軍主場21連勝後的最好成績。
