放眼全球當初投入心力開發電動車的廠商，如今也紛紛重新回過頭來檢視優劣與前景，結果都開始往油電複合動力領域發展，當然台灣第一個汽車自主品牌的LUXGEN也從善如流，一方面雖持續電動車研發卻放慢腳步，另一方面則尋求增程Hybrid的可能性，根據了解，增程Hybrid將是LUXGEN在節能科技的下一歩。
