面對全球暖化趨勢，企業面臨的溫室氣體減量壓力與氣候變遷帶來的衝擊越來越嚴峻，中華汽車為有效進行節能減碳工程並善盡社會責任，2012年起於楊梅廠推動多項節能減碳改善計畫，有效達成「製程最適化」、「外掛式變頻器空壓機」改良工程、全廠使用LED照明設備替代傳統燈具節能計畫、進行熱泵及綠建築節能方案，成功年減少1,836公噸CO2e之溫室氣體排放。減碳有成18日也受邀接受經濟部工業局表揚，成為車廠唯一榮獲節能減碳績優肯定之企業。
